Do we believe in God or Jesus?
The name of God our Savior, who saves sinners, is ‘Jesus.’
God already possessed this name in heaven.
God gave this name to His Son and this name entered us by the Holy Spirit.
When we call God, ‘Jesus!’, it is like calling Him, ‘God who saves me from sins!’
So when we call on God our Savior, do we call on the Father, the Son or the Holy Spirit?
When we call out ‘Jesus!’, we do not call on a person of the Trinity, but call on the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, that is, God the Trinity.
When Jesus prayed to the Father,
“Holy Father,
protect them by the power of your name—
the name you gave me—
so that they may be one as we are one.
While I was with them,
I protected them and kept them safe
by that name you gave me.”
Jesus said the name of Jesus is the name the Father gave Him.
When the Son of God came into the world, God gave Him the name ‘Jesus’.
While He was on earth, He had the name ‘Jesus’.
When He went up to heaven, He gave this name to the saints left in the world.
“But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
To sum up, the name ‘Jesus’ is the name of God which saves His people from sin.
This name is the Father’s name and the Father gave this name to His Son.
When the Son gave the Holy Spirit in this name, He protected the people who believed in Him.
My reply refers to 『Let us know the Holy Spirit』written by Pastor Ki Dong Kim, Chapter 3 [The One Who Enables Us to Experience the Name, Jesus].
